James “Jim” Casper, 57, of The Villages, FL, passed away suddenly on Jan. 13, 2020 (formerly of Austin, TX and Baldwinsville, N.Y.)
Jim graduated from Baker High School in Baldwinsville in 1980. He continued on to Clarkson University graduating in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He later attended SUNY Oswego, graduating in 1993 with a Master of Business Administration degree.
An outgoing personality, he enjoyed and excelled in meeting customers and creating for each a custom computer architecture to further their business. His career spanned many years beginning at General Electric, Motorola and finally Microsoft.
Jim’s hobbies included deer hunting, crab fishing, woodworking, home construction and raising prize winning Angus cows. Time with his family was often spent hiking and skiing the Cascade Mountains, trips to Disneyworld and Russia, several trips with wife Faith to Europe, and anytime he could spend time with his extended family spread throughout the Northeast U.S.
In 2019 Jim and Faith relocated from Austin, TX, to The Villages, FL He was excited to make new friends and had looked forward to a fun-filled retirement.
Jim is survived by his wife Faith of 34 years; and their two sons Jacob of Austin, TX and Zachary of Houston, TX. He is also survived by his parents Joseph and Barbara Casper of Baldwinsville, NY; siblings Theresa Fulgieri of Romulus, NY, Barbara Canale of Jamesville, NY, Joseph Casper of Baldwinsville, NY; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Service will be held at St. Mary’s Of The Assumption Church, 47 Syracuse St, Baldwinsville, on April 25, 2020 at 10 a.m.
