Martin Dykeman, of Clearwater, FL, passed away peacefully on Aug. 1, 2016 at the age of 89. He was born on Sept. 26, 1926, in Penn Yan, N.Y. When he was a young child he moved to Fayetteville with his family. As an adult he became a tool and die maker and also was a volunteer fire fighter.
In 1971 he moved to Florida with his wife Ferne and son Bruce. He enjoyed bowling and spending time with friends at the American Legion.
Martin was predeceased by his wife Ferne and three brothers; Robert, Al and James. He is survived by his daughters Bonnie Crowe of West Monroe, N.Y.; Linda Chalk of Brandon, MS; and son Bruce Dykeman of Oldsmar, FL. Also surviving are four grandsons, one granddaughter and five great granddaughters. Graveside memorial service will be held on Aug. 28 at Sylvan Abby. Donations can be made in his name to the Humane Society.
