Bradley J. Blakeman, 63, of Phoenix, N.Y., passed away at his home peacefully on Wednesday June 8, 2016, with his loving family by his side. He was a 1971 graduate of the J. C. Birdlebough High School, Phoenix. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, achieving the rank of sergeant. Brad retired from the Stadium International Company after 28 years of service, as a diesel mechanic.
He enjoyed working in his garage on his custom hot rod projects and attending classic car shows.
Bradley was predeceased by his father, Kenneth V. Blakeman in 2003. Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Theresa (Friot) Blakeman; his mother, Arlene (Cole) Blakeman of Vernon; daugther and son-in-law, Amie and Ron Hadcock of Mexico, N.Y., daughter Holly Blakeman of Fulton; five grandchildren, Paige, Jayda and Olivia Blakeman and Joshua and Jacob Hadcock; two brothers, and his wife, Lynnand Pat Blakeman of Olean, and Dean Blakeman of Oswego; two sisters, Jan and her husband Tim Snow of Landenberg, PA, and Sharon and her husband John Barattini of Sherrill; several nieces and nephews; many friends.
Bradley loved his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Calling hours are from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday June 10, in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix. Services are at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 11, in the funeral home, with a committal service following at Jacksonville Rural Cemetery, 9250 Fenner Road, Lysander, with military honors.
