To the editor:
I am writing to you concerned about the future of our area. As a mother, I am concerned about my son and his future. He will be graduating from high school in June and heading off to college.
When looking at future opportunities I am worried that he may not be able to find a job in the area unless he decides to go into the medical field, which he has no desire to do. Each year, I see more and more young people leaving Central New York, and I am scared that my son will be among them in a few short years.
Assemblyman Stirpe hasn’t done much to boost my confidence in the Central New York job market. He has made promises and said a lot about bringing jobs to the area, but we haven’t seen progress. How can someone be in office for 10 years and have done so little for jobs, the thing that most directly impacts his constituents?
I want to see someone new in office this year. I will be voting for Nick Paro this November. Nick is young, local and enthusiastic about the area. It’s time to get a new face in office that will fight to bring back a thriving economy that my son will want to be a part of once he graduates college.
