To the editor:
I would like to thank all of the voters of Lysander who came out and voted on Nov. 7. I would also like to congratulate Town Clerk Dina Falcone, Councilor Geraci, Councilor Diamond and Town Justice Bryant on being re-elected and Jerry Hole on becoming the newly elected highway superintendent. I commend the Democratic Party candidates, Tim McMahon, Gene Dinsmore and Gail Tosh on running excellent campaigns to give the residents of Lysander a choice when they went to the polls, given the limited resources each of us had.
I would like to ask the residents of Lysander to pay attention to our town politics over the next 18 months. In 2019, you will have the opportunity to elect a town supervisor, two town councilors and a town justice. I urge the residents to hold the locally elected officials accountable for their actions. Come out to a meeting, watch them on PAC-B, call or email your local officials. Thank you again and have a happy holiday season!
