Three men have been arrested by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, the result of a drug bust in the Village of Chittenango during the evening of January 24.
According to the sheriff’s office, Elijah Dixon, 33, of Syracuse, Leroy C. Brockett Jr., 49, of Mattydale, and Brian C. Chiasson, 34, of Liverpool, all were arrested on multiple drug-related felony and misdemeanor charges and remanded to the Madison County jail.
Dixon was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree (Class B Felony), criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree (Class D Felony), two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree (Class A Misdemeanor), conspiracy in the fourth degree (Class E Felony), criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree (Class A Misdemeanor) and unlawful possession of marihuana (violation)
Brockett Jr. was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree (Class B Felony), criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree (Class D Felony), criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree (Class A Misdemeanor), conspiracy in the fourth degree (Class E Felony), criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree (Class A Misdemeanor), unlawful possession of marihuana (violation) and several traffic violations.
Chiasson, was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree (Class B Felony), criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree (Class D Felony), two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree (Class A Misdemeanor), conspiracy in the fourth degree (Class E Felony), criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree (Class A Misdemeanor) and unlawful possession of marihuana (violation)
It is alleged that the subjects engaged in the unlawful sale of 3,4-Methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV) which is commonly known as the street name bath salts. The subjects also possessed drug paraphernalia and quantities of cocaine and marihuana.
All three subjects were arraigned at the Village of Cazenovia Court.
Chiasson was remanded to the Madison County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. Dixon and Brockett were remanded to the Madison County Jail on no bail.
