Suspicious death in Madison under investigation

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a death that has been labeled as suspicious by sheriff’s investigators, according to a statement.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 27, the Madison County 911 center received a call of an unconscious male at the Madison Lake Estates trailer park, located on Route 20 in the Madison County Town of Madison. Deputies arrived on the scene within minutes of the call to discover a white male in the residence, deceased.

The male, identified as David Bridge Sr., 59, of Lot 4 of the trailer park, was pronounced dead on the scene by the Madison County Coroner’s Office.

Sheriff Allen Riley states that a very active investigation remains underway with the assistance of the New York State Police at this time, and leads are being followed up on by both sheriff’s and state police members.

Bridge’s body was taken to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office in Syracuse for an autopsy. Cause and manner of death are pending autopsy results.

Anyone that was in the area of the hamlet of Madison or Bouckville on Monday, and saw anything suspicious or out of the ordinary is asked to contact Sheriff’s Investigators at (315) 366-2311, anytime of the day or night.

The Sheriff said that more information will be released as it becomes available.
