Village discusses Kelley Street Bridge

The Village of Skaneateles held a public information meeting on Monday, Feb. 13, regarding the proposed replacement of the Kelley Street Bridge.

Two engineers from Barton & Loguidice and the village Director of Municipal Operations Tom Posella reviewed designs, renderings and plans for the project.

The bridge replacement is a federally funded project with specific milestones for completion. The state DOT is managing the financing for the project and two of their reprentatives also attended the meeting.

The initial design phase was completed at the end of 2022.

The final design and the bidding of the project will be completed in 2023.

It is expected that construction will begin in May of 2024 and will take 16 to 18 weeks to complete.
