Winter farmers market opening at Baltimore Woods
The Winter Farmers Market at Baltimore Woods will begin its sixth season on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 to 1 p.m. The market meets on the second Saturday of the month from November 2019 to April 2020 in the Interpretive Center at Baltimore Woods Nature Center located at 4007 Bishop Hill Road in Marcellus.
Market shoppers will enjoy a diverse mix of local farm and artisanal food products from top regional producers.
The staff at Baltimore Woods is excited to welcome back many of our customers’ favorite returning vendors as well as a few new vendors.
The vendor line-up includes Balsam Rose Soap Company, Groovy Granola, Crow City Roasters, Good Karma Garlic, Dutch Hill Maple, Small Mountain Za’atar, Jacob the Beekeeper, October Rose Farm, Little Cow Ice Cream, Produce Station, Little Yard Farm, and WW Longhorn Ranch.
In November, market goers can browse a selection of handcrafted wares from special guest vendors, including paper art by Marie Halko, handcrafted jewelry by Dorothy Pu and photo cards by Deb Putman.
Fans of Primo and Mary’s Salsa or Hoddy’s Grape Jam can find these products in the nature center gift shop, which is open during market hours.
The Winter Farmers Market at Baltimore Woods aims to strengthen the connections between area residents and regional food producers, and to encourage and support a vibrant local economy.
Parking and admission are free.
Market dates for the upcoming season are as follows: Dec. 14, Jan. 11, Feb. 8, March 14, and April 11.
