Winter farmers market coming to Baltimore Woods
The Winter Farmers Market at Baltimore Woods will begin its fifth season on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10am-1pm. The market meets on the second Saturday of the month from November 2018 to April 2019 in the Interpretive Center at Baltimore Woods Nature Center located at 4007 Bishop Hill Road in Marcellus.
Market shoppers will enjoy a diverse mix of local farm and artisanal food products from top regional producers. The staff at Baltimore Woods is excited to welcome back many of our customers’ favorite returning vendors as well as a few new vendors. Our 2018-19 vendor line-up includes Balsam Rose Soap Company, Groovy Granola, Crow City Roasters, Griffin Hill Farm Brewery, Good Karma Garlic, Dutch Hill Maple, 4 Tin Fish, Creekside Meadows Farm, Small Mountain Za’atar, Jacob the Beekeeper, and October Rose Farm.
In November, market goers can browse a selection of handcrafted wares from special guest vendors, including ceramics by FrackArt, handcrafted jewelry by Dorothy Pu and photo cards by Deb Putman. Fans of Primo and Mary’s Salsa or Hoddy’s Grape Jam can find these products in the nature center gift shop, which is open during market hours. The Winter Farmers Market at Baltimore Woods aims to strengthen the connections between area residents and regional food producers, and to encourage and support a vibrant local economy.
Parking and admission are free. Market dates for the upcoming season are as follows: Dec. 8, Jan. 12, Feb. 9, March 9, and April 13.
