The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office reports that Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested two men for holding a woman against her will for two days.
Yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:05 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies along with Officers from the Camillus Police Department responded to a call in the Town of Camillus after receiving a 911 from an area resident reporting that a distraught 22 year old woman showed up on his doorsteps indicating that she had been abducted.
The woman, who was familiar with the suspects, told deputies that the men held her captive for two days under the threat of harm and had also duct taped her to a chair. The woman was able to escape from the home and run to a nearby residence after jumping from of a second story window.
Deputies and Camillus Officers quickly located the two men at the address where they were taken into custody without incident. Sheriff’s Detectives charged both Mark LaValle (56) of Camillus and Quadeer Castro (30) of 109 Murray Ave, Syracuse, with kidnapping in the 2nd degree. The two men were arraigned this morning in the Town of Camillus Court before Judge John Petosa who set LaValle’s bail at $5,000 cash and $50,000 bond. Due to prior felony convictions, Castro was denied bail. They are due back in court on Thursday.
