A two-car accident at the intersection of Oxbow Road and West Milestrip Road in Fenner Tuesday night sent four people to the hospital, all with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred at approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, when a 2006 Chrysler minivan, operated by Shanti M. Crouch, 31, of Oneida, drove across Oxbow Road and in front of a 2000 Jeep, operated by Billie J. Evans, 34, of Peterboro. Evans required extrication from her vehicle by the Smithfield Fire Department; Crouch was transported from the scene to Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse, the sheriff’s department said.
Evans and her two passengers, Jeremy Richmond, 34 of Oneida, and Austin Wallis, 11, were also transported to Upstate Medical Hospital. All injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.
Smithfield Fire and Rescue responded to the scene, assisted by the Lincoln Fire Department. Madison County Fire coordinators were also alerted and responded to the scene. Greater Lenox, SEVAC and Vineall Ambulance transported the injured parties.
Charges are pending at this time, according to the sheriff’s department.
