During the Great New York State Fair, 3,600 fairgoers took a few moments to sign the “Good Egg Pledge” in the Poultry Barn.
And Food Bank of Central New York on Wednesday, Oct. 5, received a donation of 10 cases of eggs — one egg for each signature — from Hudson Egg Farms in Elbridge.
The Good Egg Project joined Hudson, Krehers Eggs and the New York state egg producers to make the donation.
Food Bank of CNY Executive Director Tom Slater said the eggs will feed hungry individuals and families in the CNY area, and provide a high-quality protein to Food Bank clients.
