The Baldwinsville girls track and field team’s Laura Farleman would seize the spotlight during Saturday’s Liverpool “Star Wars” Invitational at Cicero-North Syracuse’s Bragman Stadium. Farleman dominated the five-event pentathlon, accumulating 2,717 points, winning four of five events (100 hurdles, high jump, long jump, 800 meters) and tying for first in the other (shot put) on her way to 2,717 points. The runner-up, CNS’s Brooke Binion, was 565 points behind. Other Bees track athletes would have high finishes, too. In the 4×400 relay, Jaimee Balloni, Quaneisha Ivey, Kallie Castetter and Mackenzie Ross finished second in 4:22.94. Gabrielle Jordan was third in the 200 (27.19 seconds). Jordan, Paige Corso, Allie Vroman and Gabrielle Jordan claimed third in the 4×100 relay in 52.04 seconds. Balloni took fourth (1:02.96) and Ivey sixth (1:05.18) in the 400-meter dash. Peterson took fifth in the 1,500 (5:15.48) Cydney Goodrum was sixth in the triple jump (32 feet 8 3/4 inches), with Erica Miller seventh in the discus (82 feet 10 inches).
