Cazenovia College to present documentary ‘Embrace’ on April 20

Cazenovia College will feature the documentary “Embrace” at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, in the McDonald Lecture Hall located in Eckel Hall on the college campus. The film will be followed by a panel discussion, and is free and open to the public.

The documentary focuses on the efforts of body image activist Taryn Brumfitt. She posted an unconventional before-and-after photo online in 2013 — it was seen by more than 100 million people worldwide and sparked an international media frenzy. Embrace follows Taryn’s crusade as she explores the global issue of body loathing, inspiring us to change the way we feel about ourselves and think about our bodies.
