At 6 foot, 10 inches, Cazenovia College men’s basketball freshman Cameron Wilson (Rochester, NY / McQuaid Jesuit H.S.) stands as one of the tallest players in the program’s 32-year history. In only nine games played this season, Wilson has recorded 48 blocked shots, and sits just one block shy of tying the programs all-time single season record of 49 blocked shots.
Even more impressive, Wilson currently leads all of NCAA Division I, II, and III in blocked shots per game, averaging 5.33 blocks per contest.
The Wildcats also rank first in the nation in total blocks per contest as a team averaging 7.9 per game, which leads all other teams by nearly 1.5 blocks per contest.
Wilson looked to break the Cazenovia all-time single season record this past Saturday, Dec. 9, versus Clarkson University, in the Wildcats final game before the holiday break, which occurred after press time.
Wilson is averaging 4.6 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 5.3 blocks through his first nine collegiate games.
