The Taste of B’Ville returns to Paper Mill Island on Saturday, Sept. 16 with festivities planned from noon to 10 p.m.
The event is organized by the Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce and is made possible by many sponsors, with this year’s main sponsor being Lou’s Car Care Center.
The Taste of B’Ville is a family friendly event that features live music and the best food that Baldwinsville has to offer, according to organizers.
“It’s like a fun neighborhood party and a great opportunity for people to come out and try food that you’ve never tried before at a reasonable price,” Executive Director of the Greater Baldwinsville Commerce MaryAnne Williams, said. “It’s perfect for all ages – families, single people, the elderly; it’s so special to see your friends that maybe you haven’t seen in a while and enjoy the wonderful restaurants in Baldwinsville.”
This year, there will be a $2 admission fee for anyone 13 years and older that can be paid upon arrival.
The day will feature about a dozen different local restaurants, each offering one or two samples at a low price, along with full sized portions at a higher price, but still lower than what you would find in the restaurant.
Williams said it’s the perfect occasion to try something different.
“Be open minded and try something new,” she siad.
Food vendors are hard at work preparing for the event and are looking forward to greeting locals and sharing the best items on their menu.
Allison Handwork, owner of Café Bee You, is excited to return for her second year.
“It’s an amazingly fun day,” she said. “I love talking to returning customers and meeting new ones. It’s great to have the community in one place and it’s something fun for all ages.”
Café Bee You will have a variety of options to try including protein balls, energy drinks that can be ordered in a flight of three choices, cold brew coffees from locally brewed Simple Roasts, and homemade breads from the upcoming fall menu.
Other vendors include Angry Garlic, Pizza Man Pub, Sammy Malone’s, Sal’s Pizza, San Miguel Mexican Bar & Grill, Lock 1 Distilling, WT Brews, StrigoVineyards, JessiCakes and Skippy’s Ice Cream. Entertainment for the day will include Dave Wolever Acoustic Rock, Grit N Grace Acoustic Duo, Phil Petroff & Natural Fact and Scars N’ Stripes.
Attendees are invited to bring a lawn chair and are also encouraged to bring small bills for their purchases to make it easier on the vendors.
