The library has been busy the last few weeks getting ready for the holiday season. Please stop by, if you haven’t already, to see all the wonderful decorations both inside and at our East Genesee Street entrance. While you’re here, pick up a holiday book or DVD to enjoy on these cold winter nights.
However, we’ve been doing more than just decorating. Before your next visit, please remember that we have collection boxes for the following:
- 2017 wall calendars to be given to those in local nursing homes
- Books for Books 4 Bedtime -a charity project begun by Aeowyn Holmes (USA National Miss, Jr. Princess 2016) to bring books to the children at Golisano Hospital (to be delivered Dec. 23)
- Non-perishable items for the Baldwinsville Food Pantry
Your donations are most appreciated.
Finally, library staff have been helping the Baldwinsville community prepare for this time of year, which can be difficult for some families. Recently we enjoyed an early morning holiday breakfast while stuffing stockings full of healthy treats to be donated to the Baldwinsville Food Pantry. Over 40 stockings were stuffed with crackers, juice boxes, granola bars and even some candy canes. It is our hope that these stockings will make the season a little brighter for those who are struggling.
