To the village of Fayetteville residents:
I have enjoyed serving on the Village Board of Trustees for the last 12 years. Through the years I have acted as a liaison to almost every village department and worked with all the department heads. I have volunteered at the Fayetteville Fire Department for 10 years. Our village government has a great deal of complexity as an organization and how it interacts with the other local and regional governments to make things happen for our residents.
Fayetteville is a great place to live and work, and thus we are faced with many proposals for development inside and right outside the village limits. Residential, mixed use and commercial developments all can affect the quality of life in our home. I have a history of careful consideration and scrutiny over past development proposals and zone changes, and not all are right for our village.
Recently, a group of residents have mischaracterized my intentions on the proposed apartment complex at the former Accurate Die Cast site. I have not decided whether or not to support this proposal, but did support sending the proposed PUD to the planning board for their consideration and comments. This action should not be construed as support but an act of diligence, one that this proposal and project deserves due to the many issues involved. I urge you to reach out me if you have comments or questions about this or other village issues.
I appreciate your consideration on Election Day, March 20, 2018.
Chris Randall
