Question: This was one of the earliest and most heavily traveled roads in the village prior to 1850. By 1910, the time of this photo, trees and porches lined what was now a residential street. Trees and porches both change over time, but the residential character of this street remains yet today. Can you identify this location?

While historian Bonnie Kisselstein dated the photo around 1950, Mary Eleanor Slye told the Messenger it was taken around 1945.
“I graduated in ‘46 and I’m in it,” she said.
