Friends of the BPL Present: A Meandering Path

Welcome back to the 2018 season of the Friends of the Baldwinsville Public Library meetings. We start the season with Lisa Davis, gardener, artist and author from Oswego County. She will share how a small garden she planted in 1993 sparked an unexpected journey, one that led to her evolution as a gardener and the unexpected meandering path that has beckoned her ever since. A $1 suggested donation is collected at the door and refreshments are available. All are welcome.
Senior Health Info Series: Heart Healthy Diets
2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15
Bob will offer a presentation on how to maintain a heart healthy diet for those who are taking blood pressure or cholesterol medication. This will include learning how to research dietary guidelines for the medications you are taking, and then seek out healthy food options that will provide proper nutrition without creating new complications. Celtic Ceilidh!
1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 18
Join us for our traditional Celtic Ceilidh. We’ll welcome back the Gail Lyons Harp Ensemble, with several floor harps making beautiful music together. We also welcome back the Rince Na Sonas School of Irish Dance performing Irish ceilidh dancing and jigs in their colorful costumes. Refreshments will be served, and we’ll join in an Irish sing-along at the end of the festivities!
