That gnawing doubt sits in the back of your mind every time you read another story about hackers and then log back in to your system.

How safe is my stuff in this day and age of cyberspace snooping and phishing?

Liverpool Public Library technology librarian Mr. G wants to help patrons prepare to keep their whereabouts and files a bit more secure from prying eyes.

“A Short Course in Internet Safety” will run from 7 to 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, in the LPL’s Sargent Meeting Room.

During in what promises to be a fast hour and 45 minutes, Mr. G will cover simple privacy protection to fraud and scams, and how that protection might vary depending upon your age level.

Registration is required from the calendar page at LPL.org.

And don’t forget that Mr. G takes his spot at the folding table in the LPL’s big room for a three-hour weekly session to answer impromptu tech questions as patrons stop by. “Drop-In Tech Help With Mr. G” runs from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 3 and Friday, March 9.
