CAZENOVIA — On Sunday, Nov. 6, Cazenovia College will lead the public on a one-mile Fish and Invertebrate Survey Hike.
Guided by the Cazenovia College Aquatic Biology Wetlands Ecology class, under the direction of Professor Thad Yorks, this easy hike is the fifth annual collaboration with the CNY Chapter of the North Country Trail Association.
The group will explore a wooded section of the North Country Trail along Chittenango Creek in Nelson Swamp Unique Area. The college students will help identify as many fish and aquatic macroinvertebrates as can be found in the stream.
Participants should meet at 2 p.m. in the parking lot at the Nelson Swamp trailhead on Constine Bridge Rd., Cazenovia (a half-mile south of the intersection of Ballina Rd. and Stone Quarry Rd.).
