Stephen Noel Titus Driscoll, 65, of Auburn, went to be with his Lord on June 7, 2019, after a heroic battle with cancer. Steve was the epitome of a fighter. He never accepted the defeat to any challenge he encountered and encouraged people give up in the face of adversity and forge ahead. When most people would give up, Steve persevered with tenacity and never cowered from another round of treatment.
Steve graduated with honors from Arizona State University and received a B.S.E in construction engineering. Steve was the guiding leader of Charles T. Driscoll Masonry Restoration Co. Inc. in Skaneateles Falls. He expanded his father’s business and became a primary contributor in the masonry restoration and waterproofing field. In addition to his duties at his work, Steve served as a masonry restoration consultant and advisor. His achievements included Restore – Columbia University, Associate of American Institute of Contractors, Member of International Concrete Repair Institute, Golden Key National Honor Society, Sigma Lambda Chi National Construction Honor Society and Beaver’s Charity Trust Scholarship.
Steve played an active role in the St. James’ Episcopal Church Community located in Skaneateles. Within the church he served as an usher and acolyte.
Steve is predeceased by his parents Shirly Titus Driscoll and Charles Thurston Driscoll, Sr., He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Denise Bishop Driscoll, his children; Michael Hoyt Driscoll, Gideon Charles (Heather Edmunds) Driscoll, and Katherine Grace Bishop (Taylor Kraetz) Driscoll; siblings, Charles Thurston (Kimberly) Driscoll, Jr., Patricia Anne (Gary Blose) Driscoll, and Nancy Driscoll (Glenn) Stewart and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 12, at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles. Funeral service will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, Skaneateles. Stephen will be buried in Lake View Cemetery.
