Joyce Crump, 85

Joyce Crump, 85, of Naples, FL formerly of Oneida, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, in Chapel Hill, NC.
Born Sept. 18, 1932, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., Joyce was one of the first females to actively serve in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged as a Hospitalman (HN) on Feb. 16, 1954. She was the first of three generations to serve in the U.S. Navy.
She is survived by her brother Donald Brick, children Debra (David) Hopkinson of Farmington CT, Brad (Bobi) Crump of Chapel Hill, NC, Craig (Deborah) Crump of Kingston NY; and five grandchildren. Her beloved husband William (Dale) predeceased her in 2010.
A private memorial service will be held in New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Tuscarora Lake Association, PO Box 84, Erieville, NY 13061.
