Village Planning Board member Jennifer Gavilondo has resigned from her seat, effective Jan. 1, 2017. Her resignation letter cites as reasons that 2016 has been a personally challenging year as a member of the planning board and, given last week’s approval of the Cazenovia Market redevelopment project, which she opposed, she feels she has a “fundamentally different vision for future development of our community.”
Current planning board alternate Don Raleigh will be appointed as a full member of the board in January, said Mayor Kurt Wheeler. The village board is interested in receiving applications from any village resident interested in applying for appointment as a planning board alternate, Wheeler said.
