ONLINE—Mary Lincoln for the Ages with Jason Emerson | Saturday, October 9th at 1:00 PM:

About the Speaker: Independent historian and journalist Jason Emerson is the author or editor of seven books about Abraham Lincoln and his family. He’s published numerous articles and book reviews in both scholarly and popular publications, and has appeared on Book TV, American History TV and The History Channel.
The former editor of the Skaneateles Press, Emerson has also worked as a National Park Service park ranger at the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, Gettysburg National Military Park and the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial (the Arch) in St. Louis.

Each month we’ll read a book or graphic novel and then get together on Zoom to chat about the book and do an activity. Pick up your copy of the book curbside. For kids in grades 3 -5. OUTSIDE—Creepy Crafts | Monday, October 11th at 1:30 PM & 3:30 PM: Heads will roll during this Halloween-inspired craft program. Participants will make Doll Head Planters and Spooky Heads in Jars outside on the Library lawn. If raining, the program will move inside with masks. For kids in grades 3 – 5. Registration required. Limited to 5 kids per session.
ONLINE—Skaneateles Library Board Meeting | Tuesday, October 12th at 6:30 PM: The Library Board is made up of community members who volunteer their time and skills to further the mission of the library. All meetings are open, and the public is welcome to attend the board meeting online via Zoom. Registration required.

OUTSIDE—Toddler Trick-or-Treat | Thursday, October 28th at 11:00 AM: After Read, Play, Sing Story Time attendees are invited to trick-or-treat around the library’s yard. Children (and adults, too!) are encouraged to wear costumes! Registering for story time counts as your registration for this event. Ages 18 months – 2 years.
