JORDAN — There are few things that are as refreshing as taking a dip in the pool on a warm summer day.
For those in the Jordan area that often means a visit to the Jordan Veteran’s Memorial Pool.
And as warmer days have set in on Central New York the pool was opened just in times.
The pool opened its 2021 season on Monday June 28 after an abbreviated season in 2020 due to COVID-19.
This year brings a fresh new look to the pool, according to Jordan Mayor Casey Brim.
Guests will notice the pool bottom has been painted, there are new lounge chairs, fresh paint everywhere and new landscaping.
The community came together this year out of love for the pool to make these much needed updates happen, according to Brim.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions lifting, this year guests can enjoy the splash pad, diving boards, and water slide.
There is a limited concession menu available.
For family memberships and to rent the pavilion out for a party call the Village of Jordan at 315-689-7350.
The pool is located on Brutus Road in the Village of Jordan and is open daily from noon until 8 p.m.
