The Skaneateles Education Foundation [SEF] is excited to announce our annual Barn Sale for Education returns from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, May 12 & 13 at the Mandana Barn. Gently-used indoor furniture, garden furniture, office furniture, lamps, area rugs, mirrors, artwork and other home décor will be sold to support quality education in the Skaneateles Schools.
SEF has found a wonderful way to reduce, reuse and recycle, and shoppers will have fun hunting for a new treasure to take home, all for a great cause. Items already procured include custom armoires, leather sofas and armchairs, coffee tables, headboards, beautifully framed artwork, and much more to come. Donations of gently-used furniture will be accepted until Thursday, May 11th. Call Heather Carroll at 315-685-7948 for details. All proceeds go directly to supporting the mission of the Foundation.
At the end of the sale, all unsold items will be donated to local refugees in need, along with the St. James’ Jumble Sale and the Rescue Mission.
Through its partnership with the community, SEF will solicit and steward donations that are solely directed at enhancing the quality of education, by strengthening the curriculum and expanding the resources available to students and faculty in the Skaneateles Central School District. We are passionate about the role of the education foundation to engage in meaningful partnerships that create powerful opportunities extending far beyond the checks we write to the district. SEF strives to support projects that inspire creativity, stimulate engaged learning, and create a climate of possibility.
