What’s new at the BVC?

Save the dates of April 25 and 29 in your calendar, B’ville: the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center has some spring events up its sleeve.

First up is the annual Man and Woman Volunteers of the Year Awards Dinner, which will be held at 5 p.m. April 25 at Pasta’s on the Green at Foxfire Golf Course.

Theresa Gross and Ed McManus are the 2014 honorees.

“Both Ed and Theresa exemplify the passion and commitment to the Baldwinsville community that have been shown by past honorees,” said Carmey Evans of the BVC. “We are excited to add their names to the long list of outstanding volunteers in Baldwinsville.”

Last year’s honorees were Connie Taft and Chris Arnold.

Reserve your seat at the table for $27 by April 17. Payment can be mailed to the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center, 8 Mechanic St., Baldwinsville, New York 13027.

To make a reservation, call 638-0251. Office hours are from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Next, the BVC is holding a recruitment fair from 4 to 7 p.m. April 29 in the Community Room at the Baldwinsville Public Library.

“A volunteer fair is a great way to showcase your organization, group or agency to recruit new members or volunteers and promote your upcoming events,” Evans said. “It’s also a great way for volunteers to find new and exciting opportunities to donate their time.”
