The Marcellus School District’s budget of $30,222,222 passed with relative ease on Tuesday night, with 874 in favor and 424 against.
The budget calls for a 2.17 percent tax levy increase, while the budget itself is 0.76 percent higher than last year’s.
Proposition 1 focused on the increasing the Marcellus Free Library’s funding by $483,542. Voters were in favor by a 715-561 margin.
In the race for Board of Education, David Kelly will remain president, as he received 1,000 votes. Jeff Crysler got 924 votes, and will remain. Both won three-year terms.
Ryan Riefler, with 922 votes, will serve a one-year term. He is finishing out the remainder of Donald F.X. Keegan’s term. Keegan resigned.
