Motorists using the intersection at Bellevue Avenue and Onondaga Boulevard and the western exit from Westhill High School onto Onondaga Boulevard should take note that the two new traffic signals installed earlier this month at those locations changed from flashing signals to three-color traffic lights today at 10 a.m.
The Onondaga County Department of Transportation this morning transitioned the lights into three-color mode, and drivers should be advised of the switch. Message boards are being used to notify drivers in the are of the change. The signals were installed after a traffic study determined that a higher than average accident frequency warranted the three-color system.
