To the editor:
Hello all of you political buffs out there and those of you who are still undecided: I was a passionate supporter of Bernie in the primaries. When Hillary won the primaries I lost some interest. I know she is bright and qualified to do the job, but she had missed drawing my attention to her campaign.
In the last month something has changed for me in regards to Hillary. As I wrote, I feel she is bright and well qualified and she wants to do a good job as president. She wants to meet the needs of the people as best she can. That seems stable and productive in the chaotic world that is around us now. I have begun to believe in her.
With this feeling, I decided I should put a yard sign up supporting Hillary and Kaine. I realized I have not seen very many signs up for Hillary/Kaine in the Cazenovia area. I want people to know who I am supporting in hopes that might encourage others to get out to vote.
In less than 24 hours of placing the sign in my yard it was stolen, sometime between the hours of 10 p.m. and morning. I do continue to see Trump signs in people’s yards and they seem to remain there. Is there a possibility that the Trump supporters in my neighborhood cannot contain themselves enough not to trespass on my land and steal a sign that I have placed there?
I hope that supporters on both sides are ethical enough to allow each of us to express our beliefs. I think that is just one of the things that makes America great already!
