CLAY — It’s the perfect time to start planning your garden.
The Town of Clay Recreation Department is now accepting applications for garden plots and greenhouse use at its Project: GREEN site, located at Black Creek Park, 9604 Black Creek Road, Brewerton, adjacent to Lock 23.

Greenhouse orientation is Thursday, April 1, and garden plots will be designated Wednesday, May 19. Dates are subject to change. Stay tuned for details about the community beekeeping program.
Activities for seniors
Attention, book lovers: Clay Seniors’ Cozy Mystery Book Club will spend two sessions discussing Alice Hoffman’s “Practical Magic.” Join us via Zoom at 11:30 a.m. March 24 and April 7 to chat about the book. Email [email protected] for the Zoom link.
The Clay Senior Walker Club starts again April 6. Join us at 9 a.m. each Tuesday at the Willow Bay parking lot, off Long Branch Road in Liverpool. Walk at your own pace for as long as you like. Don’t forget to wear sturdy shoes!
Registration is required; contact Chrissy at [email protected] or 315-652-3800 ext. 137 to obtain a registration form, parks and recreation waiver, COVID waiver and COVID questionnaire. Once you’re registered, there is no need to RSVP to each walking session. Masks and social distancing are required, and you must fill out your COVID questionnaire before each walk.
