On Nov. 28, two local fitness professionals saw just how generous Skaneateles residents can be.
Maggie Thomson and Debbie Bobbett held what they call a “turkey buster fitness fundraiser” at the First Presbyterian Church of Skaneateles.
“Our fundraiser today was a big success,” Thomson said on Nov. 28. “We raised $700.”
The event was sponsored by Mirbeau, Moro’s Bistro, Skaneateles Bakery, Snap Fitness, Skaneateles Community Center, P&C, The Country Ewe and Mindy’s Mittens. All funds benefited local charitable organizations.
“All of our proceeds are being donated to the Fingerlakes SPCA, Todd’s Fund, Matthew House and local families,” Thomson said.
The event was attended by 20 people.
Thomson and Bobbett also teach weekly fitness classes at the Presbyterian Church under Bobbett’s business Healthy Lifestyle Management.
