Benjamin Britten’s popular “A Ceremony of Carols” will be the centerpiece of this year’s holiday performance by the Cazenovia College Chorale at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, in the Catherine Cummings Theatre. The piece, composed for choir and harp, is part of the treasured holiday repertoire performed throughout the world. Onondaga Community College Professor Emerita Gail R. Lyons, who is also a retired Syracuse University harp professor, will join the chorale as guest soloist.
The chorale, composed of students and members of the greater Cazenovia community, will also perform selections from Broadway’s “Les Misérables,” as well as other selections for the holidays. The performance, directed by Peter Ciarelli with William Verity on piano, is free and open to the public.
