BALDWINSVILLE — Start searching for your lost shaker of salt: Margaritafest returns this Saturday, July 16.
The 12th annual event is the summer fundraiser for the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center. A $10 “passport” gets you a sample-size summer beverage or special treat from each participating business.
“It’s just a fun opportunity to get out and walk around the village,” said event chair Megan O’Donnell. “I think the establishments enjoy being able to be creative with making a fun summer beverage to highlight their offerings.”

About the BVC
Founded in 1964 as a branch of the Volunteer Center of Syracuse and Onondaga County, the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center became an independent agency in 1998 after the United Way took over the regional organization and closed satellite sites.
In addition to connecting prospective volunteers with the causes that fit their skills and schedules, the BVC offers a variety of programs serving residents of the Baldwinsville Central School District such as the Baldwinsville Christmas Bureau and H.E.L.P. (Household Essentials for Living Pantry).
Barb Presley, board president of the BVC, urges the community to donate their time to organizations who support seniors, disabled people, refugees and economically disadvantaged people.
“Locally, Silver Fox, Syracuse Home, the Baldwinsville Community Food Pantry, and Meals on Wheels are all well-established organizations that are supported by volunteers year-round,” Presley said.
