Splash! at Cornell is pleased to announce that registration for the Spring 2017 Splash sessions is now open.
The Splash! program at Cornell brings area middle- and high-school students to their campus in Ithaca for one Saturday. The students can take classes in almost any subject you can think of, taught by our very talented Cornell undergraduates.
The spring event takes place April 29 at Cornell University in Ithaca. Sign-in begins at 9 a.m. at the Plant Sciences Building, and all students are invited to our opening keynote at 10 a.m. Classes will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Students may choose from more than 50 classes, including:
- Striking a Chord: The Joy of Singing Together
- Crash Course in Tissue Engineering and Artificial Organs
- Photonics 101
- John Laurens: The Revolutionary War Soldier with Revolutionary Ideas
- Designing Technology for Social Impact
- Make a Splash! (How to Organize an Event)
Splash! will be utilizing a first-come, first-serve system for assigning classes to students. View the complete class catalog and register at cornell.learningu.org.
The cost of the program is $25, and generous financial aid will be available for those families to whom the cost might prove financially burdensome. All students will receive a Splash! T-shirt, notepad and lunch.
Programming also will be available for guardians, including information sessions and sample Splash! courses. For more information, email [email protected], or call (909) 713-4830.
