The Town of Manlius Police Department and the DeWitt Police Department will soon be teaming up to participate in the National Coffee with a Cop Day on Friday, Oct. 7 at the Fayetteville Target.
National Coffee with a Cop Day is a national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Interactions with law enforcement typically occur during emergency situations which are not effective times for building relationships in the community. Coffee with a Cop provides a neutral, non threatening environment for community members to interact with their local law enforcement.
Coffee will be provided free of charge, compliments of Fayetteville Target, from 8 to 10 a.m. in the food court of Target, 340 Towne Drive, Fayetteville.
