Resounding Reeds

Free concert featuring music for the season!  Music ranging from classical to popular will entertain all ages.   Debussy’s “Ballet from Petite Suite,” Dupre’s “Il Est Ne Le Divin Enfant” and Prokofiev’s “Overture on Hebrew Themes” will be performed along with many popular seasonal pieces such as “Christmas Festival,” “Reindeer Rag,” “Parade of the Tin Soldiers,” “A Christmas Jazz Medley” and much more.

The Silverwood Clarinet Choir is celebrating their 17th year and is an exciting professional clarinet group that encompasses all the voices of a true choir. The creative group performs original compositions as well as arrangements of well known pieces –music in all styles and from around the world – music that is both entertaining and challenging. Our members are from Oswego, Onondaga, Madison and Cayuga Counties, New York.

Frederick Willard, conductor, began his professional career working with legendary Broadway orchestrator Michael Gibson with hits of Kander and Ebb and others. Mr. Willard has been composer and/or lyricist on The Mandorla, Fractured Fairy Tales: The Musical, A Remarkable Story: Voices of Pan Am 103 and Desdemona: A Play about a Handkerchief (Edinburgh Fringe Festival). He has traveled to Singapore, Columbia, Brazil and throughout the Eastern seaboard as a Musical Director/Keyboardist. His arrangements have been performed by the Lionel Hampton Orchestra, Ann Hampton Callaway, Melba Moore, Ronnie Leigh, Central New York Jazz Orchestra and the Syracuse, Hartford and Tenerife (Spain) Symphony Orchestras.
