Empire Alpaca Association Announces Upcoming Alpaca Show- free to attend and to park!

Alpacas from around the northeast will show at the NYS Fairgrounds

Dairy Cattle Building Halloween Weekend 10/27/23 thru 10/29/23

Syracuse— 10/01/2023 —  The Empire Alpaca Association (EAA), the New England Alpaca Owners & Breeders Association and Northeast Alpaca Expo are hosting five alpaca shows Halloween Weekend at the State Fairgrounds.  Parking and admission are FREE.  Alpacas will show in both halter classes and walking fleece classes beginning Friday morning at 8 am and ending for the day around 5pm.  The show continues thru to Sunday 8am to approximately 2pm.   Several hundred alpacas will be on site along with vendors of alpaca products and yarn.  Saturday the Cherry Valley Country Spinners, a local spinning guild, will demonstrate spinning alpaca roving (fiber) into yarn and are available to answer questions about spinning while there.  Hint: Dress warmly, we must keep it cool for the alpacas!

Also present will be vendors selling a wide variety of alpaca clothing, toys and other alpaca related products.

All NYS COVID-19 mandates at that time will be followed during our show.  Right now, masks are NOT required.

***PLEASE NOTE*** No animals other than alpacas will be allowed in the buildings during the show.  This includes but not limited to all pets, companion animals, guard dogs (dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, birds, goats/sheep, llamas, rabbits, etc.).

The exception is for certified personal assistance animals.
