ONONDAGA COUNTY – Each of the Baldwinsville bowling teams would put together 7-0 shutouts over the West Genesee Wildcats in their match on Dec. 22 at Solvay Recreation Alleys.
Julia Speich shot a 515 series with high game of 178 to lead the Girls Bees as it improved to 9-0 with its eighth shutout of the winter.
Behind her, Jenna Speich shot a second-game 184 in her 492 series, while Samantha Hass closed with a 179 in her 469 series as Elizabeth Hildreth had a three-game total of 418.
In the boys match, B’ville’s Scott Ritcey had a top game of 181 and best series of 492. Charles Richards finished with a 171 in his 440 set as Zenon Gasiorowski shot 185 and Aidan Tredo had a best game of 159.
Back at B’ville Sports Bowl on Tuesday afternoon, B’ville faced Liverpool and took its first defeat of the season, falling 5-2 to the Warriors. Still, Jenna Speich put up a consistent 613 series that started with a 196, moved to a 201 in the second and concluded with a 216.
Also improving, Juila Speich began with a 180 and then went to 201 and 213 in her 594 series as Hass had a 484 series and Hildreth got a 480 set. Sara Conover paced Liverpool with a 576 series and opening game of 226 as Kenzi Ormsby only managed a 513 set.
In a close boys match, B’ville could not quite pull it out, falling 4-3 to Liverpool despite some consistent individual performances.
Jordan Sevigny led the Bees, his games of 197, 194 and 194 leading to a 585 total. Gasiorowski shot 198, 190 and 187 for a three-game total of 575.
Richards had a second-game 225 in his 556 series as Ritcey had a 179 and 178 in his 520 set, while for Liverpool Wes Lell’s 583 series was backed up by a 573 series from Zach Doing and 541 set from Tanner Gist.
