B’ville bowlers battle with F-M, C-NS

Hard work and success on home lanes has pushed the Baldwinsville boys bowling team near the top of the Salt City Athletic Conference Metro division standings.

The Bees improved to 9-2 last Tuesday with a 3-0 shutout of Fayetteville-Manlius, avenging the defeat to those same Hornets by that same margin five days earlier at Green Lakes Lanes. Jarod Napiorkowski paced B’ville as his season-best 267 game led to a 687 series.

Chris Forbes and Tanner Rozycko both shot equal three-game totals of 659, with Forbes earning a 233 high game and Rozcyko a 232 high game. Tanner Mento added a 609 series (227 high game) as John Buonfiglio paced F-M with a 615 series, but no other Hornet did better than Kevin Winschel’s 522 set.

That same day, the girls Bees held off F-M 2-1 as Brooke Flask’s 215 game led to a 535 series and Amelia Ponto contributed a three-game total of 511. Jenna Hierholzer added a 408 series as no Hornets bowler topped the 372 series from Haillie Clark.

This set up Thursday’s showdown with Cicero-North Syracuse at Strike-N-Spare Lanes. And the boys match featured plenty of good scores, but the Bees lost, 2-1, to the Northstars.

Rozycko’s steady 644 series included a 231 high game. Napiorkowski had a 597 series, with Forbes shooting a 585 series and Mento getting a 235 game in his 569 set.

It was J.J. O’Connell leading the way for C-NS, his 245 game leading to a 658 series as Tim Cloonan shot a 648 series and 235 high game. Nick Bough had a 577 series and Zach Emm got a 551 series.

In the girls match, B’ville could not get a point in a 3-0 defeat to C-NS. Flask topped the Bees with a 514 series, while Ponto shot a 203 game in her 478 set. Hannah Pinard had a 418 series as the Northstars’ Carly Lecsenski shot a 236 game and 599 series.
