In their annual meet against one another, the gymnastics teams from Jamesville-DeWitt/F-M and East Syracuse Minoa/Liverpool engaged in close competition on each apparatus, though it was J-D/F-M prevailing by a 138.75-126.55 margin.
Again, the all-around battle waged between J-D/F-M teammates Rylee Fishkin and Rachel Wells, with Fishkin coming out on top. Thanks to a 9.4 balance beam routine, 9.0 on floor exercise and 8.6 on uneven bars, Fishkin garnered 35.65 all-around points.
Wells wasn’t far behind, as her total of 34.45 points included 9.0 on both the floor and beam, plus 8.1 on uneven bars. On the vault, J-D/F-M’s Mia Potamianos tied ESM/Liverpool’s Devin Myers for first place, each getting an 8.50 ahead of the Spartans’ Madeliene Crooke, who scored 8.45.
ESM/Liverpool also had Devin Korzeniewski finish third in the all-around standings with 34.1 points, including a second-place score of 9.0 on the beam and an uneven bars score of 8.4. Her teammate, Aliyah Dine, had a 9.0 on the floor to finish second behind Fishkin.
