The Cicero Youth Bureau, Parks and Recreation Department will offer a series of theater, music and dance class this fall and winter culminating in a cabaret-style performance in January.
Cicero Area Student Theater classes take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays from Oct. 21, 2020, through Jan. 6, 2021. Classes will be split between in-person at Driver’s Village Conference Center and Zoom. Students will receive one hour of music, one hour of theater, and one hour of dance each week.
There is no class on Nov. 25 or Dec. 23. The cabaret showcase is planned for Friday, Jan. 8, 2021. CAST aims to hold a live, in-person performance, but if that is not possible, the production will be livestreamed.
The award-winning team of instructors and support include: Kimberly Panek-Edwards (director), Caryn Patterson (musical director), Lisa Stuart (choreographer), Renee Frontale (producer), and 4D Productions (technology direction).
This program is open to students age 14-20. The fee is for Cicero residents and $110 for non-residents. The registration fee includes a T-shirt. Register at cicero.recdesk.com by Sunday, Oct. 18.
