Did you know?
For the remainder of 2020, NOPL is not charging overdue fines on anything borrowed from their locations.
The Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) is now open for in-person browsing by appointment. Patrons can simply call any NOPL location to arrange a time to visit, make selections and check out materials.
Visitors to the library must wear a face covering and practice social distancing, as well as adhere to posted signs and cooperate with directions from staff.
Besides browsing, patrons can also make appointments to use computers; copy, fax and print; use the Preservation Studio to digitize old slides and photographs (Brewerton only); and get something notarized (Cicero only).
The duration of a scheduled visit may vary from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the type of appointment and the library location. Appointments end promptly to allow staff to clean between visitors and to ensure the number of people in the building remains below reduced capacity limits.
Details can be found on the library’s website, nopl.org.
Curbside holds pickup continues to be available as an alternative to coming into the library, and an assortment of virtual events for all ages are being offered through the fall.
Appointments can be made by calling the library. NOPL Brewerton: 315-676-7484; NOPL Cicero: 315-699-2032; NOPL North Syracuse: 315-458-6184.
