The holidays are here! Thanksgiving and Christmas vacations offer children and young adults time to celebrate, meet with friends, and of course, read. Supporters of the library have helped us improve the inside of our library as well as the materials we can offer.
In 2023, the generous Annal’s Angels (annalsangels.org) raised funds for the renovation of our amazing new Children’s Area with the memorable barge, Steady Eddie. Besides their generous support of the library, Annal’s Angels has funded scholarships for graduating seniors and the Christmas Bureau among others.
On Nov. 22, Annal’s Angels presented a $750 check to Dania Souid, young adult Services librarian, to purchase do-it-yourself books for display with extra takeaways and programs.
Different how-to books include cooking, resume building, and car repairs, just to name a few.
Presenting the check was Molly Ivanchak and Julia LeMay, 10th graders at Baker High School, who have supported Annal’s Angels by helping with fundraisers such as raffle baskets, and the 4th annual 5K race. Along with Molly and Julia, there are other hard workers like Isabelle (Izzy) Flood and Haylee Chetney who could not come to the event but contributed many hours.
It is the organizations like these that make up what is wonderful about living in Baldwinsville, New York.

Happy Thanksgiving and have a safe and bright winter.
