From lively music and festive crafts to escape rooms and entertaining performances, the Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) has special Holiday events for all ages this year happening throughout December:
Holiday Arrangements Using Natural Materials
1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at NOPL @ Cicero
Join Master Gardener Doreen Todorov to see how you can decorate your home using natural materials with inspiration from colonial Williamsburg.
Santa Visits the Library
5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at NOPL @ North Syracuse
Following the Christmas parade through the village of North Syracuse and the tree lighting outside the community center, Santa will be inside the library to meet and take photos with good little boys and girls.
Family Fun Night: Holiday Party
6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 at NOPL at North Syracuse
Listen to Christmas music and the classic Christmas story The Night Before Christmas, and then make some fun crafts. For children ages 5 and up.
Recycled Book Holiday Tree
6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at NOPL at Cicero
Recycling old books to create a Christmas tree. Basic materials provided, but feel free to bring your own embellishments and decorations! Please register by visiting nopl.org/events or call 699-2032.
Holiday Concert with the C-NS High School String Quartet
12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at NOPL Cicero
Enjoy a concert from the Cicero-North Syracuse High School string quartet as they play holiday tunes for everyone to enjoy.
Merry Mischief presents: Santa and Mrs. Claus
2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at NOPL @ Cicero
Santa and Mrs. Claus visit the library and provide a fun-filled afternoon of music, laughter and candy canes! Sponsored by the Friends of the Cicero Library.
Musical Eclectics
6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at NOPL @ North Syracuse
Join singer Marci Perini-Bowers and pianist David Sabin for a lively concert featuring Christmas music.
Reindeer Games Escape Room
1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at NOPL @ Cicero
An escape room puzzle game for kids and their grown-ups. Gather clues, open locks, and solve puzzles to escape! It will take most groups an average of 45 minutes to solve all the puzzles, so plan accordingly!
