To the editor:
On Election Day, the residents of Lysander will have an opportunity to allow Dina Falcone to remain in her position as their town clerk.
I appointed Dina with unanimous board approval on May 26, based on her education, background and extensive municipal service. She is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Maxwell School with bachelor of arts degree in political science with a business minor. She was a local government liaison with Sen. DeFrancisco’s office, assisting with labor issues, banking, New York state taxes and consumer protection to name a few. Dina also served the town of Salina as the assistant to the supervisor, working with the public to resolve various issues, conducting department meetings and facilitating meetings for large capital-based projects. She was the chief court clerk for the town of Salina, handling all court-related matters, including working with the town judge on all criminal and traffic matters, preparing the court’s budget and managing all personnel issues including hiring, training and professional development.
Over the last seven months, I have enjoyed working collaboratively with Dina. Her professionalism and inclusive approach reflects her commitment to public service, making her a true asset to our town. She is constantly looking to improve and streamline the services of the clerk’s office by putting the needs of the public first. Please consider supporting Dina Falcone with your vote on Nov. 8.
