To the editor:
On Jan. 25, more than 140 people came out to the Cazenovia Chamber’s annual State of the Area dinner to hear how things are going in our region from Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, Tracy Carman (representative from Senator Valesky’s office), Regional Director for Governor Cuomo’s office Colleen Deacon, Assemblyman Bill Magee, Madison County and Town of Cazenovia Supervisor Bill Zupan, Fenner Town Supervisor Dave Jones, Nelson Town Supervisor Roger Bradstreet, Superintendent of Cazenovia School District Matt Reilly, Cazenovia College President Ron Chesbrough and Cazenovia Mayor Kurt Wheeler.
This was the largest turnout for this event we have ever seen, and we are very thankful that people came out. We had so much interest at the last minute we had to Facebook Live the event because the room was full. We will be ready next year to accommodate more people and thank you all for understanding while we worked with the college to accommodate as many people as possible for this event.
Thank you to Fred Agerter and AmeriCu Credit Union for sponsoring the event and to Cazenovia College for being such gracious hosts.
Lori Lewis, president
Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce
